Our Story

Creatives Garage is a multi-disciplinary collective space for Creatives to network, share ideas, collaborate, learn, gain market accessibility and push boundaries. Our goal is to create a thriving ecosystem that impacts investing opportunities to deliver financial and social double bottom-line returns. We work with visual artists, performing artists and tech innovators who are social change agents in the society. 

Creatives Garage is a registered Arts Trust based in Nairobi. It was formed in 2012 and registered in 2013

Our Team

Liz Kilili, Creative Director and Cultural Manager

Liz Kilili, is a driven and slightly eccentric creative, mostly known as the Chief Mechanic and founder of Creatives Garage. She has achieved more for the creative industry in East Africa in a short while than others have in a lifetime. Her brainchild Creatives Garage and its accompanying creativity and innovation Sondeka Festival, have spearheaded projects and movements that have helped the creative industry grow in both policy and output and still continue even after the project goals have been brought to fruition. Lizs’ end goal is for all creatives to network, share ideas, collaborate, learn, gain market accessibility and push boundaries in order to contrive a sustainable creative economy that feeds into the GDP of Africa rather than one that saps from it.

Sammy Muriuki, Web and Mobile Developer

Sammy is a full stack developer with valuable experience in websites development, programming APIs, mobile apps development and UI-UX. He has developed websites and web systems for e-commerce platforms, online video-streaming, online polling, content management systems, virtual festivals, blogs, corporate web portfolios and video-streaming apps and APIs.

Patricia Gitau, Production manager

Patricia Gitau, known to all as Trish, is the Production Manager at CG. In addition to 8 years working in TV and Film production, Trish is a self taught events organizer and has 5 yrs experience to prove it. Trish has OCD but she says that one positive side effect of her condition is her excellent attention to all aspects of her projects. Fun fact about Trish…. She is never late!

Adam Ahsan, Motion Graphics Designer

Adam Ahsan is a motion graphics and UI/UX designer with ardent knowledge in videography and has over three years of experience. He is currently a student at JKUAT studying Information Technology. Adam is also a music production and gaming enthusiast.
